    I am not sure to understand your last comment approach :S I have the feeling Harry technique uses a good amount of hand made texture tuning to produce a good looking from a specific camera point of view the grey part to avoid drawing the inner lines for instance Regarding the outline "doubling" for inner part or overlapping dynamic object, the problem comes from the fact that the outline is half of its thickness on the border. For anyone having problems having a black screen with the blurred version.     Does anyone know how I can get a simple outline shader to outline an object with a colored line? I've tried pasting some shader code form.I have toyed today with my outline shader and found some issues: while it works great for outer outlines, it doesn't appear as good as I thought on inner lines.

    Changing the render queue for the outline shader should fix your issues. In the outline shader: Tags{ "Queue" = "Geometry-1"}.Useful for creating fake holes in geometry, UI and AR applications.

    I did a test few years ago without outline in this case but to get an acceptable result it will be important to break edges of all lights, shadows, colors, outlines with a distortion and a little noise to get a more drawing look.
